Is it hard to find accommodation in Maastricht? ›

The city is friendly, attractive and compact. Unfortunately, housing options in Dutch student cities are very limited, especially at the start of the academic year. Therefore, we strongly advise you not to come to Maastricht if you have not found housing in or around the city before the academic year begins.

In general, rental prices in Maastricht and the Limburg province are a bit lower than those in the Dutch Randstad area (Utrecht, Amsterdam and Rotterdam). One- or two-bedroom apartments in Maastricht: €900–1500/month • Studios: €650–1000/month • Rooms in a student house: €350–600/month.

The best way to find housing in the Netherlands is to go through the most recognized rental websites: Funda and Pararius.
